Bay Design simplifies NWS/NOAA point forecast interface
The National Weather Service provides key weather information throughout the US and parts of the world through its website, www.weather.gov
Among its offerings is a point weather forecast, a powerful way to get localized information by clicking on a map. This is especially useful to outdoor sports enthusiasts, who may need to know how weather might change along a route.
Bay Design set out several years ago to utilize data from the NWS (a division of NOAA), but to simplify the interface as well as the functionality, and make the service more user friendly. As a result, the website MyWeatherSpot was born. See it in action at www.myweatherspot.com!
